Michael Townly – Michael Townly (aka Michael De Santa) is a retired bank robber living in high-end Los Santos. He has the seemingly perfect life with the blend of wealth and a healthy family, however, his family is dysfunctional to say the least and the wealth he gained from robbing banks has only led to him becoming more miserable and unfulfilled. He can’t escape the feeling that his life has come to a dead end and only seems to be happy when the opportunity to turn back to a life of crime and adrenaline presents itself.

Trevor Phillips – Trevor Phillips is a deranged and border line psychopathic character living in the Sandy Shores trailer park in Los Santos. His crazy and unpredictable attitude is just one reason why Michael became wary of him and decided to keep his distance from him as his wreckless and violent outlook on life only leads to people getting hurt or killed if they unfortunately find themselves standing in his wake. Trevor is seemingly not afraid of anyone or anything which is what can make him such a valuable asset when in the face of danger.

Franklin Clinton – Franklin Clinton grew up in the hood in the Los Santos suburbs and has struggled to stay away from gang violence his whole life often getting into shootouts and other forms of gang warfare throughout his time in the hood. He is a loyal and calm character who can be trusted to do as he is told and make the right decisions. He is also extremely skilled behind the wheel due to him spending an unclear amount of time as a car repo working for Simeon. This makes him the perfect person to work with when working in a team to get a job done.

Rachel Teller – Rachel is a friend of yours who you have presumably known for a fairly long time. She helps guide you through Bayview City telling you were all the best races in the city are and when and where there is an opportunity for a magazine/DVD photoshoot to boost your rep within the city.

Caleb – Caleb is your arch enemy in the game as he was the one who totalled your Skyline and forced you to restart your racing career. Every race you part-take in is all ultimately leading up to you facing Caleb in a final showdown and reclaiming your place as the king of the street racing world.

Everybody's Gone to the Rapture

Dr Katherine Collins – Dr Katherine Collins is a scientist who discovers a mysterious pattern of lights with her husband Stephen Appleton. She decides to observe them in an attempt to find out what they are and where they came from. She begins testing the light patterns and comes to the conclusion that they are unknown forms of life attempting to communicate with humans. She spends the duration of the game locked away in her observatory trying to find out what the meaning behind these light patterns is.

Stephen Appleton – is a scientist who discovers a mysterious pattern of lights with his wife Dr Katherine Collins. He decides to observe them alongside his wife in an attempt to find out what they are and where they came from. They begin testing the light patterns on animal subjects, after the mysterious lights kill all subjects it comes in contact with, Stephen deems the mysterious light source as a threat to the human race unlike his wife who seems fascinated by its existence.

That Dragon, Cancer

Joel Green – Joel Green is the young boy in which the whole story revolves around, he was diagnosed with cancer shortly after his first birthday and battled with cancer for three years before eventually passing away on the 13^th March 2014 at the age of 5. However, his spirit was helped brought back to life through the use of real life audio files of Joel laughing, crying and saying various phrases.

Ryan Green – Ryan Green is the father of Joel Green and is one of the main characters alongside his wife and son. He is a father devastated by the news of his terminally ill soon who tries to hold on to all hope regardless. He cares about nothing more than his son Joel and ensures he does everything within his power to give Joel the very best chance of survival.

Amy Green – Amy Green is the mother of Joel Green and is one of the main characters alongside her husband and son. Much like her husband, she is a parent devastated by the news of her terminally ill soon who tries to hold on to all hope regardless of the darkness casting over their lives. She cares about nothing more than his son Joel and ensures she does everything within her power to give Joel the very best chance of survival.
